Professor Sang Wan Cho

I earned my B.S. (2000), M.S. (2002), and Ph.D. (2008) from the Institute of Physics and Applied Physics at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, where I was advised by Professor Chung-Nam Whang. Following my doctoral studies, I served as a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Kevin Smith’s group at Boston University (2008–2011) and as a research associate in Professor Anders Nilsson’s group at Stanford University and the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (2011–2012). In 2013, I joined the faculty of the Department of Physics at Yonsei University as an Assistant Professor, and I was promoted to Full Professor in Physics and Engineering Physics in 2021.
